The Extent of Forgiveness

Pastor Paul continues the "Experiencing Grace" sermon series by talking about forgiveness. He says "grace is NOT grace if it is not available to everyone". That means if God's grace is available to average sinners, it is also available to the terrible sinners as well. He explains that 1 John 1:9 tells us, if we confess our sins He (God) is faithful to forgive our sins. There are not footnotes or exceptions to that verse - He will forgive. This message is huge. Ephesians 2:8-9 gives us a working definition of grace (unmerited favor) and Jesus models how we are to demonstrate grace but ultimately to understand grace we first must experience it.
