The Assembly

Paul Roberts
Pastor Paul continues the conversation about "Stuff That Matters". He uses two words to describe the importance of the local church (church): bought and bride. He explains that a church is not a building or an event, but a group of believers who gather together in a specific location. Jesus purchased the church (the people) with His blood and in Ephesians 5 He calls the church His bride. If Jesus was willing to offer His life for the church and puts the church in the position of bride, it is clear the church very important to Him. Turn to Matthew 16 and let's understand the value of the church.
